Short Biography
Eugen Fröhlich wurde am 19. April 1922 in Unterschmeien geboren. Der Gefreite Fröhlich starb als Fallschirmjäger am 20. Mai 1941, dem Beginn des Unternehmens Merkur, beim Angriff auf Kreta.
Er wurde bei Rethymnon-Periwolia auf dem "Ehrenfriedhof" bestattet. Seit seiner Umbettung am 29. April 1960 ruht er auf der Kriegsgräberstätte Maleme, Block 2, Grab 648.
