Short Biography
Wilhelm Hasenstab wurde im 23.09.1923 in Niederselters geboren. Bis 1937 besuchte er die dortige Volksschule. Nach seinem Abschluss absolvierte eine Lehre als Maler und Anstreicher. Anschließend arbeitete Hasenstab im Betrieb seines Onkels in Bergisch-Gladbach. Zwei Jahre nachdem sein älterer Bruder Reinhold bereits in Luxemburg gefallen war, wurde Wilhelm Hasenstab 1942 zum Wehrdienst eingezogen. Sein Bruder wurde in Sandweiler bestattet. Wilhelm Hasenstab fiel am 09.09.1943 bei Cassino in Italien.
Er ruht auf der Kriegsgräberstätte in Cassino. Die Endgrablage befindet sich in Block 3, Grab 229.
