Short Biography
Alfred Packheiser wurde am 25. Januar 1922 in Wormditt geboren. Während des Krieges wurde er als Matrose im Truppenteil F.A.N.S. 852 Seeverteid. Ostica eingesetzt. Am 23. Mai 1941 wurde er am Kap Spatha bei einem Seegefecht während des Unternehmens Merkur, der deutschen Invasion Kretas, getötet.
Zunächst wurde er auf dem "Ehrenfriedhof" in Gerani auf Kreta bestattet. Seit seiner Umbettung am 12. Juli 1960 ruht er auf der Kriegsgräberstätte Maleme, Block 2, Grab 46.
