About our Projects
About our Projects
Together for peace
At the heart of our projects are international friendship, critical engagement with history and commitment to peace . They are aimed at teenagers and young adults who want to get actively involved.
As a recognised independent youth organisation, we work with schools, international organisations and memorials to inspire young people to create an open and peaceful society.
Our programme formats
No matter which format you choose, all programmes promote remembrance of the consequences of the World Wars and help to shape a peaceful future. Together with young people from different countries, you will work towards understanding, tolerance and respectful coexistence.
Each project is unique: themes and focus vary according to location and format. What they all have in common is an international perspective, cultural exchange and the common goal of promoting peace and understanding.
Youth Encounters

Our youth encounters bring together young people from different countries to explore history and society in an international context. Topics include the culture of remembrance, flight and expulsion, and racism. The focus is always on what we can learn from the past and how we can shape Europe's future.
Interactive workshops, historical research and excursions to memorial sites allow participants to experience history first hand. Intercultural skills are developed in everyday situations and English is usually the camp language.
Leisure activities, exciting discoveries and group interaction make the Youth Encounters an enriching and unique experience. Our projects are aimed at teenagers and young adults aged 16 and over who are interested in history, culture and international exchange.
Workcamps

Our workcamps also offer intercultural exchange, learning about history and shared leisure activities. Participants also spend 10-20 hours working on war graves or memorials of different nations.
Whether it is cleaning gravestones, maintaining green spaces or tracing inscriptions, these activities help to preserve historical sites as memorials for peace. At the same time, they create a direct connection to history and strengthen the sense of community.
Workcamps are for anyone who wants to get actively involved, make history tangible and contribute to peace and understanding.
Kid Camps

Our kid camps offer participants up to the age of 16 an age-appropriate programme that focuses on international experience, team spirit and a sense of responsibility.
Interactive activities, workshops and excursions make topics such as peace, cultural diversity and human rights tangible and understandable. Living together in bi- or trinational groups also promotes language skills and understanding of other cultures.
In addition to the academic programme, there is plenty of time for sports, creative projects and discovery tours - ideal for making new friends and having unforgettable experiences.
Short-term projects

Our short-term projects last three to five days, usually take place outside the summer holidays and offer the opportunity to focus on a specific theme.
They range from visits to memorials and local projects to large national events such as gatherings during autumn or during Whitsun(a regional holiday). Short-term projects are ideal for those who want to be active outside the camp season.
Qualification opportunities

Our qualification offers are designed for anyone who wants to take on the responsibility of a group leader and develop their pedagogical skills.
The training includes group leader training, teamwork workshops and networking meetings. You will learn how to lead groups, organise intercultural exchanges and take responsibility.
This is the perfect introduction to international youth and education work, and will prepare you to be a team leader - both pedagogically and practically.
Working together for strong youth work
Our international encounters and work camps are only possible thanks to our collaboration with committed partners. Whether with project partners who support us with the implementation on site or with sponsors who share our vision - together we create programmes that have a lasting impact on young people.
